Jyotish is the profoundly transformational system of Vedic astrology. It is  known as ‘the science of light’ or the ‘eyes of the veda’ as it allows us to see clearly.

This knowledge of the stars, and a souls’ journey as it moves through life, is as old as existence itelf. However, the first written recordings of Jyotish date back approximately 5000 years ago to the times of Parashara- the great sage who’s discourse with a student expounding on the science of light was recorded. 

Jyotish maps out the journey of a soul, so that we can navigate our karma; our binds and challenges, more gracefully and frictionlessly. It enables us to walk the path of dharma; an unbound, evolutionary life. 

Jyotish sees nothing as fixed. It can identify any challenge in one’s chart and prescribe a remedy to heal, transmute or remove this obstacle. One of the primary remedies is Gemstones. Each planet has a corresponding semi-precious and precious stone that carries it’s energy and brings that transmission down into our lives.

Wearing the appopriate stones, known as ‘Ratna’s’ in sanskrit, can dramatically enhance the experience of dharma in your life rather than karma. Depending on the stone it can bring abundance, groundedness, courage, health, vitality, radiance, etc. Knowing the stones meant for you, and adorning yourself with them is like putting a magnifying glass on your best qualities and bringing them forth. 

In a chart, we have 4 main drivers for the souls jouney; dharma; a life alinged with nature and evolution, artha; resources, wealth and sustenance, Kama; desires that propel our action, and Moksha; spiritual liberation. 

Gemstones are prescribed on where the dharma houses in your chart sit- this will be different for each individual.
